Taiwan offers scholarship to Indian medical students

With an aim of enhancing academic cooperation between the two sides, Taiwan has decided to offer 10 full scholarships of medical-related courses for Indian students at the prestigious Taipei Medical University.

The scholarships are being offered by the Taiwanese Government for Indian students to pursue medical-related Master or PhD degree programme starting from the academic year September 2011.

Officials at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in New Delhi said the grant of scholarships to Indian students is aimed at increasing academic cooperation between India and Taiwan.

The full-scholarships will be awarded to 10 students for pursuing higher studies in medicine-related subjects, they said, adding the stipend will be awarded to the selected students every month.

The Taipei Medical University is one of the prestigious medical universities in Taiwan and enjoys partnership with 110 universities across the world.
